Branding and Media Relations
Industry: Education

Target audiences: Parents, prospective students, educators, local community and
businesses, media and influencers. Saratoga Independent School (SIS) is an independent elementary school offering individualized instruction for students from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 2. With its proven educational philosophies and accelerated learning approach, SIS stands out in the Capital Region’s educational landscape. Seeking to enhance its visibility and communicate its unique value proposition, SIS partnered with The Baker Agency for strategic branding and media relations support.

The Challenge

SIS needed to distinguish itself in a competitive market of private and independent schools. The school required increased awareness among prospective parents, the media and the broader community. In addition, SIS sought expert guidance on marketing collateral, website design and a targeted campaign to highlight what sets its educational model apart.

Our Approach

Our team implemented a comprehensive strategy to raise SIS’s profile. Our graphic designer created a distinctive logo that served as the foundation for all marketing collateral, including business cards and brochures. We collaborated closely on website content and design, ensuring the school’s strengths and differentiators were clearly communicated. To generate media interest, the agency crafted compelling press releases, organized open houses and secured television, print and radio interviews. The Baker Agency also provided ongoing counsel to identify public relations opportunities and community partnerships that would further support SIS’s growth.

Results

Through this partnership, SIS achieved increased visibility and recognition in the media and the community. The President and Headmaster was featured on prominent outlets such as Talk 1300, Spectrum News, Spotlight News and the Daily Gazette. The refreshed brand identity and improved marketing materials positioned SIS as a leading choice for families seeking individualized, accelerated education.
